The 14th of February we received the first localizations of Argentera from the satellite transmitter. This first image shows the whole Susa Valley: the localization of the 10th of February is practically the release site. On the 22nd of February we received the localization of Argentera and Fontvieille (fig. 2), a young released in 2007 in Mercantour (France), as well equipped with satellite transmitter. Fontvieille was present also on the day of the release and stayed in the region till the 16th of February, when it was observed in Maurienne (Vanoise-F). The third set of data, received on the 23rd of February 2007 shows that Argentera did not move away from the valley of Rochemolles, where had fixed before being recaptured (fig. 3). ![]() Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Fig. 3 March
2008
Argentera
still stays in the valley of Rochemolles: she only "dropped" in France
on the 2nd of March near Modane, on
the 14th of March has gone to Tarentaise (F), the on the 16th
and 18th she was back to Susa Valley and on the 22nd of March she has
gone South of Briançon (F) (fig. 6).

April 2008 Argentera did not move away from the region in the first part of April. The location at East in the fig. 7 corrresponds to Bussoleno (lower Susa Valley). No particular movement between the 23rd of April and the 2nd of May (fig. 8). Fig. 7 Fig. 8 May 2008 Argentera is still in the Alta Valle di Susa. ![]() ![]() Between the 23rd of May and the first of June Argentera moved to France (near Modane). After a non-reliable set of data, here we are again the localisation of Argentera. She did not move too much: just one day in France (Vallée de Nevache) and then back to the Susa Valley. ![]() Argentera, at the end of June, has not left the region of Rochemolles.
